The ambiance of the cosy Löwen Stube alone is a treat. You sit at Montafon-stay tables, which are known for their elaborate inlays. Wood-panelled walls, the wooden floors and a tiled stove with a bench create a dapper and snug atmosphere. And the service team virtually anticipates your every wish.

Regional and seasonal

Delights from the forest and the field, from small farms, from Lake Constance, and the nearby fruit orchards and vegetable gardens are the ingredients Thomas Carvalho de Sousa prefers to work with. He certainly also knows to perfectly prepare specialties from the sea and faraway countries.

What will it be for you? Three eight- to nine-course menus can be chosen from every evening, one of which is vegetarian. You also arrange each course individually. Either choose accompanying wines, the best wines off the wine list or whatever your palate desires with it. Look forward to surprising taste experiences!

The cooking artist

Thomas Carvalho de Sousa, chef at the Löwen Hotel Montafon in Schruns since 2014, is among the best cooks in Austria. The Styrian native has previous experience from renowned Austrian and Swiss toque and star restaurants. The master chef has already cooked himself to one Gault Millau toque for the Löwen. With his style, which relies on excellent, predominantly regional ingredients. And on tasteful and visual completion.
